"In a state dominated by one party and one powerful incumbent, an opposition candidate must be able to turn the campaign into a referendum on governance itself."
Bailey needs to do what Lyndon Johnson did in 1968 – step aside. LBJ realized he couldn’t win and let the democrats choose a candidate who had a better chance of winning. Bailey should do the same and let the republican party move forward with a different candidate for the governor’s race. To be honest I think the outcome will be the same no matter who the republicans nominate but let’s get some fresh faces into the party.

Bailey already lost once. Time for a competent candidate.
Bailey needs to bail and not become a 2 time loser.
Voters need to decide. Why are so many here not wanting to let that happen?
