Dan Proft: A rehash of the Democrats’ playbook on SAFE-T Act: Discredit, disparage, pivot – Chicago Tribune*

"The public, as it tries to dissect the misinformation being thrown around by supporters of the act, need to focus on only one point: If the act’s opponents are fearmongers, how does that explain the many state’s attorneys of all political persuasions across the state who collectively say the law is fundamentally dangerous? If the law is so solid, why are the experts on the ground so worried?"

I am absolutely shocked that the Chicago Tribune allowed this to be printed within their pathetic woke Democrat propaganda echo chamber. The so called “Tribune Writers Guild” must be hiding in a closet and curled into balls of whimpering, triggered, apoplectic drool.

Repeating my previous comment:

It took the extremism of Proft’s papers to get us to this point. Without it, this would have continued on in its current horrible state.

All the rational concerns raised by everyone else went unnoticed. It took Proft shouting from Florida and spamming everyone’s mailboxes with poor-quality papers – and all the publicity they garnered – to get JB to emerge from his bunker to address the glaring issues he knew existed all along.

Like him or lump him, this is a victory for Proft.

North Cook News is NOT a poor-quality paper. Not by a long shot. It’s local news with a conservative bent, I absolutely love it. It’s ‘truth to power’. I just received my newest edition in the mail today. It’s the only newspaper I read. I’m not being sarcastic. I even made my son read some of it today too.

Great piece, addresses actual facts, doesn’t rely on meaningless buzzwords to get the point across.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
