The letter, signed by 65 organizations, decried what it described as “intimidating comments” Police Supt. Larry Snelling made, highlighting his assertions that peaceful protesters aren’t always afforded First Amendment rights and that demonstrations in the summer of 2020 broadly amounted to “rioting.” They also expressed concerns about CPD’s new mass arrest policy, noting that provisions surrounding use of force reporting “may further allow officers to commit violent acts with impunity.”
I wonder how well the Chicago police will perform during the convention. It seems they’ve been “going fetal” for years, knowing that the Mayor, State’s Attorney and police superintendent don’t support the cops.

Who cares what they think. Write all the “letters” you want. Time for normalcy, people to get a thicker skin and not be overwhelmingly “offended” at the least little thing. The other point is, the Police are likely correct in their concern. I will be shocked if this entire circus for the DNC doesn’t evolve into riots, shootings, lootings and things on fire down town. The bridges will be up sometime during the DNC week.
There is big money to be had as a result of hurt feelings and the need to scurry off to a peace circle. The Marxists know this and are willing and exploit a settlement without trial city to its fullest.

Intimidating comments – i guess their, I say laughingly, parents must have skipped the sticks and stones my break my bones lesson.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
