Deadly shooting in Millennium Park prompts weekend curfew – WGNTV (Chicago)

Mayor Lori Lightfoot said the city will restrict juveniles without a “responsible adult” from entering Millennium Park after 6 p.m. Thursday through Sunday. “We, as a City, can not allow any of our public spaces to become platforms for danger," she said.

So, the police are not allowed to chase fleeing criminals but they are allowed to apprehend teenagers who are out past curfew? Our city leaders are hopeless.

Well, at least the statistics for some parts of the city will look better…. You do understand that Lori, right? Moving the party elsewhere won’t change the behavior…

Lori and Brown have a new euphemism; large group gathering. Which sounds better than rioting mob! Lori will be putting her feet in her mouth all week!

Police are quitting every day. Who’s going to enforce this curfew? Maybe the “violence interrupters” can take on this task. Just be careful which underage kid you try to kick out of the park. He or she may pull a weapon and take your car.
