State law puts these administrators in an impossible position. State law requires them to enthusiastically support men changing in girls’ locker rooms or be accused of violating the an autogynephilic person’s civil rights. But likewise, this is in violation of various federal laws, executive orders, etc. I have no doubts the Deerfield administration was gung-ho forcing those right-wing MAGA girls to change with the boys, and hopefully, they prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Debtsor – I went to that middle school decades ago. I credit its location in part for my career in athletics. I lived a mile away and it was much quicker to run to school than wait for a bus that had to often stop for commuter trains on the way there. Back in my day the education was excellent and there was no room for such foolishness. Deerfield has an odd history. There is a an oppositional and isolationist strain to those who live there. In the 60’s a developer tried to build integrated housing. The actual number of… Read more »

That as an interesting story about Deerfield. Deerfield voted D+60 in 2020. They hate Trump. D+60 is 80 Biden to 20 Trump. I would assume that, like most deep blue upper-middle class towns, it probably shifted 5-10 points even further left during the 2024 election, and is probably D+70 now which is Kamala 85 to Trump 15. You can’t fix places like this. They live in their own blue bubble and quite frankly, other than the people that live there, i’m sure it’s a great place to live. big houses, big lots, low crime, great parks, community. It’s just unfortunate… Read more »

I bet if you asked the school administrators who told the girls to undress had to do it themselves they would scream bloody murder. They are not exactly the lead by example type,

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
