"Deerfield Public Schools District 109 complies with state law. The Illinois Human Rights Act prohibits all public school districts from discriminating on the basis of sex, including gender identity, and mandates that students must be permitted access to the locker room and bathroom that aligns with their gender identity," the statement read.

It took sunlight from the alternative media to get this far.

The radical Leftism of Democrats is absolutely disgustlng and depraved. State law does not supercede federal law, or Democrats would still be practicing slavery. Gonna be a heavy cost for IL.

I don’t want boys in girls bathrooms but what federal law did Illinois supercede? Congress has passed no law differing on this issue from the state. Executive order direct federal agencies and are not law for states to follow.

=Executive order direct federal agencies and are not law for states to follow..

Unless, the state wants to follow the EO because it is a part of their agenda that fits their view- then they will do it.

And, actually it is law until ruled otherwise.

It’s a question of interpretation. The EO interprets Title IX IIRC to mean that biological males cannot use female facilities; where the state law interprets the same federal law to mean that biological males who identify as female CAN use female bathrooms. there’s been no definitive ruling from the supreme court one way or the other yet.

Yes, but the EO stands until Congress or SCOTUS rule otherwise.

No it doesn’t “stand” until SCOTUS rules otherwise. How do we know that? Because Illinois and other states continue to defy executive orders from Trump. Until a court tells the state they are violating a federal law and they must comply, a state can and will operate under their own laws. Why do you think the administration threatened Maine and other states with future funding being withheld? It’s because Trump knows that is his only tool to influence a state to follow his order.

Ask the governor of Maine how the defiance of common sense went.

Somehow #Resistance means allowing men to get naked in front of little girls. It’s going to be a long, difficult 12 years ahead for the Democrats…

Ha ha ha! This is the same argument the Governor of Maine made for trans athletes in Maine sports. How did that go? The left live in a giant bubble, unaware of national zeitgeist.
The difference here is that the 3 Evil Karens and the Deerfield school district are going to have to pay BIG dollars to all those young female victims for violating their civil rights. Do ya’ think that the parents in Deerfield might just know some good lawyers? LOL!
A better response would have been “We got nothin’”.

How much federal money does the Deerfield School District receive? Can they live without it?

Again, no protection of biological females. Why are Dem and liberals against biological women’s rights?

Anyone with any common sense knows what was done here wasn’t only wrong but criminal, law or no law. Abuse just in a different form. Can’t say enough about this girl and her mom standing up for what is right.

So State law as a shield … that’s been the plan all along. I expect this theme will recur again and again in the coming months.

The bench of defendants at Nuremberg were only “ following the law “ also.

Laws passed by the Reichstag, so it must have been what the voters wanted. Enough votes makes anything OK, according to some.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
