A little-known provision of the SAFE-T Act — the criminal justice reform law Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed last year —now requires that criminal defendants who are on home confinement while awaiting trial must be given a minimum of two days a week to move freely, without being actively monitored. Since the provision took effect Jan. 1, dozens of people on home confinement have gotten into trouble while free of supervision during those “essential movement” days when they aren’t monitored, the Chicago Sun-Times has found.
Defendants on home confinement can do anything they want. I’m Kim Foxx and I approve of this message.

This provision of the new law is typical Leftist insanity. Do Leftist think that on two day a week , criminals will no longer be criminals?

Why even bother arresting criminals? Just let them run wild and let the citizens defend themselves. In Chicago/Cook County the innocents will be overwhelmed, in the rural and more conservative parts of the state criminals would be dropped like dead flies.

This country has been more worried about protecting the rights of felons instead of law-abiding citizens for decades now. We used to be a nation of laws, now we are a nation of lawlessness. The fact that this type of legislation got passed is what drives the proliferation of gun sales among those who would never thought of owning a firearm years ago. You better protect yourself, because your government is too busy taking care of criminals.

Electronic cuffs should be set to deliver 10,000 volts if the thug leaves their house
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
