Gov. JB Pritzker — who warned at a news conference two days after the election, “You come for my people, you come through me” — announced a new initiative Wednesday with Colorado Gov. Jared Polis, himself a potential presidential aspirant, branded “Governors Safeguarding Democracy.”

Harris will be kicked to the curb, allowing governor WIDE-LOAD the chance to purchase that seat like the governorships.

Two words that you should pray for that you will never hear, “President Pritzger”

First, if Trump delivers on his campaign promises, it won’t matter who the Dems run. If there are economic headwinds leading into the next election, then all bets are off. Dems would still need to run a moderate candidate, as extremism won’t get them far. That should leave JB on the sidelines along with Gavin and a few others. JB is so in love with himself he will never believe the country doesn’t feel the same way. He would be a disastrous president.

75,000,000 ballots were returned straight ticket Democrat for Kamala the most progressive and liberal Democrat ever. 48.5% of the voters looked at Biden’s last four years and said, “yeah, gimme more of that!” Even more people voted *almost* split their ticket, voted Trump at the top, and then voted straight Democrat all the way down. These people will vote even harder in 2028 for Democrats, and if Trump’s successor doesn’t have the same or better turnout, Republicans are screwed.

“Governors Safeguarding Democracy” seems rather oxymoronic when the organization is ignoring the will of the people in the election. A new definition for Democracy by these Governors?

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
