The proposals from Democrats who control both chambers of the legislature include financial regulation and workplace protections as well as enhancements to abortion rights and immigration policy. Republican lawmakers have dismissed those efforts as political stunts that in some cases could do more harm than good.

They need to be a check writers from their own bank account if they want to ignore federal laws and get cut billions of dollars with sanctuary and DEI, they should be covering the deficit.
