I know the article is focused on the 2000’s but in the 70’s thru the 90’s Carter was a governor before he became president. So 2 out of the last 4 democratic presidents were governors. Also Nixon, Ford, and Bush(H.W.) all came from congress. All 3 of their last elected offices were in congress before they became V.P.s and then president. One shoe doesn’t fit all so democrats looking at governors versus members of congress to run for president may, or may not, be the answer.

News some was centered, but changed back to far left. He is doing nothing to help victims of the wildfires. Hes giving Medicaid to illegals. Pritzker is far left, pro criminal comments, pro illegals and taxing us to death. Both are losers. At least C gets rid of Newsom. Pritzker will cheat and buy the governor race once again. IL- vote Republican in every race. We need to overcome JBs gerrymandering.

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
