Another pay raise for Illinois politicians, takes a lot of balls Springfield when people are struggling to make means and keep there heads above water the ones who work and have pride in themselves and want to contribute to society not the free stuff army ya know the crew that says give me give me I deserve it. Greg Harris you are a despicable individual to even suggest a pay raise.

Just what Illinois needs — another welfare giveaway — to build another generation trapped by dependency, poverty, and hopelessness.

This is all garbage and nothing more. Meaningless, minimal and temporary tax breaks that are election year distractions meant to appease the simple minded. Hundreds of millions in social justice programs meant to keep the couch dwellers right where they are and voting blue. While insane inflation has provided a spike in state revenues, rest assured the resulting economic downturn will decimate this state and country. Excessive government spending under the guise of Covid relief has set us all up. Sound monetary policy was suspended for two years. We’ll pay for it the rest of our lives.

Chicago needs more champions of literacy like Willie Wilson – Wirepoints

It’s rare to see city leaders in Chicago take an open, unabashed stance on the collapse of literacy. To complain is deemed as too political, too racist or too anti-public schools. So it’s refreshing to see Willie Wilson, a successful businessman and leader of the black community, call for a literacy initiative “with the goal of getting 100% of Black students reading at grade level.”
