Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Democrats *must* support the party line these days, no matter what. Sen. Mark Warner-D-VA – a purple state – said the other day that Trump was doing a good job making progress at the border. The fallout from this comment was so swift and harsh from Democrat leaders, that the following day, he was forced to grovel through a Struggle Session on MSNBC reminiscent of Mao’s Cultural Revolution, and he said, exact quote, “My Words Yesterday… Were Not Great” because he implicitly admitted that illegal immigration – and hence illegal immigrants – was not good, and that Trump was doing… Read more »

Mega donations + an army of foot soldiers = control of the party. People ask who is the leader of the Democratic party now? Look at recent Democrat lunacy. Look at Chicago, and think what that would look like if applied on a national scale.
That’s a good way to look at it.
