Students also attended the event last year, with one student saying: “Looking back at history, queerness was often coded in nature. When I think about nature, I think about its concealment and how it can be so disregarded at times just like queerness. There’s a lot we can learn from nature in the way it still prevails.”

Pride month is a religious holiday. DePaul, a religious institution, has adopted the pride flag as their 8th sacrament. I guarantee you that your local protestant churches in your neighborhood have done the same. I don’t live in Evanston, but for example, you can look on the webpages of most of their churches and see ‘Pride’ in the logo or on the web page before the cross. The Lutheran church has gone full globohomo, check out their Reconciling in Christ (RIC) webpage, which is the pride flag surrounding the cross. Here’s a link to the RIC page that actually has the cross surrounded by Rainbow Colors. They are wearing your scalped carcass as a trophy. What blasphemous person looked at this and said, yup! This is exactly what god wanted us to do.
