Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Couple people on facebook made note of this no fly zone for drones and said “this isn’t good”. Many of the comments back were “stay safe”. It is to protect the safety of the Law Enforcement officers working. I don’t what these people think is happening here, these comments were made by people I know to be american citizens, born and raised in the midwest…yet, they are concerned and hoping everyone is “staying safe”. The ACLU appears to be lying again. Linking the use of drones to “military tactics” is a backhanded attempt at misinformation. I recall an article in the last couple weeks where even the Chicago Police Department has begun using drones to track perpetrators . Last time I checked, CPD is not the military.
