Dick Durbin says Biden court picks have been ‘controversial’ because his theme is ‘assertive women of color’ – BizPac Review

Durbin noted that Biden’s promise to pick a black woman for the bench “is not the first time that a president has signaled what they are looking for in a nominee....“They’re all going to face the same close scrutiny. This is a lifetime appointment to the highest court in the land. And I just hope that those who are critical of the president’s selection aren’t doing it for personal reasons.”

Durbin is clueless. He just spouts rubbish. He has the look of a rich rural snob.

Senator Joe Biden stated that if Bush chose Brown to replace O’Connor, the Democrats would filibuster her nomination, stating that circuit court judges, unlike Supreme Court justices, “don’t get to make new law.”

Janice Roger’s Brown, a black federal judge with impeccable credentials was rejected by Biden, freshman senator Obama, and senator Durbin from Illinois. Biden threatened to filibuster her appointment. Two of most racist and disgusting politicians known, Biden and Durbin.

Wasn’t there some controversy around Durbin’s handling of the Miguel Estrada nomination process during the GWB administration? Something to the effect that Durbin wanted to keep Estrada off the Court of Appeals because he was Latino and if he ever came up for nomination to the Supreme Court, it would be difficult for Dems to oppose a Latino.
