Dividing up $3 million in Evanston – Evanston Now

The federal funds are being set aside out of Evanston’s 2023 budget, for a public vote on specific proposals, outside of the normal City Council approval process. It’s called “participatory budgeting,” where citizen volunteers come up with a series of proposals, which are then winnowed down to about 12-14 finalists.

They should spend $3 mill on gaint virtue signinaling mirrors for each evanstonian to stare at themselves in……maybe throw in some cardboard cutouts of— homeless guys ,solar panels, blm/ social equity protesters as background
