Don’t dismantle the Department of Education just yet – Salon

"Teachers and students alike suffer from bloated bureaucracies. Chicago Public Schools will spend over $30,000 per student this year. Hmm.. it seems education was doing just fine and students were actually graduating with useful skills until the DOE came along. Now you have dumber than a box of hair kids, questionable “ curriculum “ being taught and rabid parasites like Randi Weingarten foaming at the mouth when you suggest scrapping the whole mess. Not a good trade off.
