Dr. Sameer Vohra Officially Begins Role as New Director of Illinois’ Health Department – NBC5 (Chicago)

Vohra, a pediatrician and healthcare policy expert who holds degrees in both law and public policy, officially took over the role, which was formerly held by Dr. Ngozi Ezike.

Sameer Vohra – Dr. Vohra was born and raised in Chicago and received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Northwestern University. He then went on to receive a dual degree from Southern Illinois University’s Medicine and Law Dual Degree Program, as well as traveling to India on a United States Department of State Fulbright Scholarship. ….. He at least has extensive experience working with conservative people during his years in southern Illinois and apparently did things to try and improve the communities he served. Imagine being one of the only guys of indian descent in your southern IL community of Trump supporters. Apparently he thrived there. It’s worth giving this guy a chance.
