During the regimes of Clinton, Obama and Biden the slightest infraction of the NFA National Firearms Act such as illegal machine gun conversions resulted in immediate prosecution by the ATF Federales of the perpetrators. The penalties include $10K forfeiture as well as 10 years in the Fed’s big house. About ten years ago, a Wisconsin National Guard soldier a public range had a firearm that went full auto due to a broken part and was sentenced for 15 years. I am disappointed that Cash Patel has not sent attorneys to prosecute these baboons. Cook county’s state attorney should be referring… Read more »

The Second City Cop blog stated that the drive-by shooter was effective in dispersing the gathering.

The place was crawling with cops and the gunmen just drove away. No one can even describe the getaway vehicle. Calling bullshit on another mass shooting event.

Apparently, the vaunted generosity and “play” cousinhood of blacks was insufficient to prevent this mass shooting in Auburn Gresham, which has a 93% black, non-hispanic population.
Will someone in the local media ask Mayor Johnson if he wishes to rethink his prior statement?

Same propaganda it’s the guns fault- We need to crack down on illegal guns, we need tougher gun laws , we need background checks, We need guns off the street. I’ve never seen a gun jump up and decide to shoot at something. Start locking up the thugs and put the blame where it belongs.

Please. I have lived in Spain now 18 months, and have yet to hear about a shooting. Chicago has people injured and killed by shootings DAILY. Many Americans are goofy.

Hmm.. just wondering if Spain has a disgruntled segment of the population that resorts to violence over practically everything everyday? Just wondering.

It’s a certain demographic that is the problem in Chicago, it’s not the law abiding citizens. Democrats think taking away 2a rights is the fix for everything. They believe that no cash bail and the garbage saf-t act enacted in Illinois would promote good behavior. Guess what sh** heads are back on the streets to raise hell. The judges that have to release them are at fault too. Do your homework before spouting nonsense!

I can’t deny a certain demographic is, to be polite, problematic. That being said, I like living in a place where guns are banned. I was a real estate appraiser in Chicago for 30 years. I worked all the hoods. Likewise, I’ve seen lots of disturbing things. All I can say now is, I’m very happy to be out of the US.

Colorado incident makes national news. Shootings in Chicago nothing said. It is just a common thing anymore. If you love your family find some place safer to live.

Hopefully helping the victims.

In Pfleger’s case, he was probably having his hair coiffed for the cameras.

An hour before the shooting, the police tried to disperse the crowd of teens. They would not have been shot that night if they’d obeyed the cops, did Pfleger mention that?

Father Pfleger starting to sing a different tune:

“You’re driving down the street spraying bullets; you’re a punk. You wanna get somebody? Come get me. Leave these kids alone,” Pfleger said.

As the result of another mass shooting in an ethnically challenged area of Chicago Illinois politicians vow to take firearms away from law abiding gun owners in Carbondale and other rural areas who are the real threat to public safety

That is an important part of the conversation. I spent time in Southern Illinois, where hunting plays an important role in wildlife conservation. Hunters typically eat what they kill which is more humane than store bought and some do it out of necessity. I haven’t and wouldn’t want to hunt, but I respect those that do.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
