Those of you in the Medicare bunch remember Skips Drive In on North Ave between Thatcher and 171. The gear heads would block North Ave for drag racing. They’d have police from 30 towns responding. It was a circus, the viewing audience would just disappear into Thatcher woods, part of the Des Plaines River greenway. Late 60’s.
The Illinois State Police have been ordered to stand down. They can do nothing at this point, and if CBS really wants an answer, then stick a microphone into the fat face of Governor Flintstone and ask him why this happened, and why no one gets apprehended for the daily expressway shootouts. He’s responsible for this charade, as he does not want the ISP pursuing criminals. The whole thing stinks, and mainstream media won’t call it out.

CBS Channel 2 news is the best local news in Chicago. ABC Channel 7 went crazy woke propaganda at some point last year, it’s all ‘look at the happy children getting their vaccine shots’ and ‘here is how Joe Biden will end the pandemic’. They focus so little on local news and half the newscast is some Republicans are Bad In Washington at 10:04 p.m. Channel 2’s news story about the PPP fraud in Markham was great.
