Ald. Anthony Napolitano, who has served Chicago as both a police officer and a firefighter, said he was “extremely excited” about drone technology. “This could be an incredible part of [cracking down on] the open-air drug market that plagues our city — as well as chop shops, as well as gang territories, you name it,” he said.

Sadly, CPD drones would be nothing but ‘clay pigeons’ & easy targets for the gangbangers…

What good is the latest technology when: A) You can’t arrest anyone B) On the rare occasions you do, they walk courtesy of a liberal judge toeing Kwame’s line or C) your Soros funded prosecutor won’t persue felony charges and settles for a slap on the wrist misdemeanor? One can only imagine the challenges in court of proving that the thug in court is the thug captured on film by the drone.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
