If there was a miscarriage, there is no new family, so there should not be any paid leave!

My cynical, suspicious nature causes me to ask whether medical science is able to distinguish between a miscarriage and a morning-after pill when the erstwhile mother presents herself to get whatever benefits this legislation would provide? Simple ignorance on my part — clueless male without political objectives or motives.
