Duckworth’s new bill aims to eliminate conflicts of interest in police shooting cases – WICS (Springfield)

After the death of Sonya Massey, who was shot and killed by a Sangamon County Deputy at her own home, U.S. Sen. Tammy Duckworth has introduced a bill that would incentivize State’s attorney offices to allow other agencies to prosecute cases of police-involved use of deadly force.

This police officer is being prosecuted for his criminal behavior, by the local State’s Attorney. Why doesn’t Duckworth stick to federal issues? If she does want to go after this idiot she should encourage the FBI to look into the civil rights aspect of this case. If she wants to meddle in local affairs, then resign your Senate seat and run for a local political office in Illinois.
