Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. So TX Dems are apparently even more stupid than IL ones. Red states that actually had logical districts are now discussing how to redistrict like the blue states. If you can’t get them to play fair – Dems will get beat at their own game.
Hopefully we don’t see anymore Dem seat gains for several generations because of this. All thanks to JB – how ironic.
