‘Dysfunctional’ city and mayor mean huge 2025 Chicago property tax hikes – Russ Stewart

“It’s really scary,” said Alderman Nick Sposato (38th). “It’s totally dysfunctional,” said Alderman Anthony Napolitano (41st). They’re not referring to a prospective Harris-Walz Administration. “It’s just total chaos. Nobody knows what they’re doing,” Napolitano said. “Everything is agenda-based,” which he means the Woke/Left.

I know this is about Chicago but if you read the whole article Russ thinks whoever wins PA wins the presidency. That’s scary because that state thought Fetterman was competant. He seems to have recovered some but on election day he was clearly not mentally fit.

No, the reason is because there are trolls out there posting here under BS names or copying regular poster’s names, pretending to be them and using racial slurs and then they tell everyone that this site is full of a bunch of racists

Talking about being censored. Have you tried to make a comment on Yahoo? Many people get Does not meet community guidelines or Rejected even without implying anything negative. But I found out if you say anything negative about Harris or democrats you will be rejected. also anything positive about Trump will be censored. People are now typing in code with certain words split into two words or no capitals.

Double taxes. Triple taxes. The slaves won’t care. They will even love it. As long as the Bears are playing and the local bar is open, the stupes are happy. Who is going to stop them? It should be fun to watch the ensuing implosion from afar. I wouldn’t want to be in the middle of it. By the way, if Napolitano and Sposato hate it so much, why are they still demofilth?

Kudos to Russ for doing actual investigative reporting, instead of parroting a press release. That’s the way it used to be done. Then it switched to this.

Except the problem with the video you posted is that they are Sinclair Broadcast Group Stations…they are a conservative ownership.

Russ Stewart the best, and nails it:

“Chicago by statute is not able to emulate the feds. They can’t just borrow and create a city debt, much like the national debt of $34 trillion. It’s pay-as-you-go. So with a shortfall of $1.2 billion between now and Dec. 31 Johnson has to find a whole load of money. And whatever he can’t find will be covered by tax-anticipation bonds payable to the lender from 2025 property tax revenue.”

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
