Editorial: All Biden’s Green Job Losers – Wall Street Journal

"President Biden sold the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) as a giant climate jobs program, but then how does he explain what happened Friday at the Stellantis Jeep Cherokee plant in Belvidere, Illinois? Some 1,350 workers are losing their jobs so the auto maker can finance its government-mandated and subsidized electric-vehicle expansion."

Living in a college town I have heard the various slogans used to sway the votes of the young fresh faced liberals on campus. The thing is these idealistic individuals can not even balance a check book much less understand the hoopla they are being fed.

If I believe all the political advertising by JB and the unions in Illinois before the election, the change to the constitution the voters approved will protect these good union jobs / workers. Are we now being told those ads were not truthful? I wonder how many of these UAW members voted to change the state constitution?

Only if you believe that millions of unverifiable mail in ballots just happened to break over 90% to the eggplant currently in the white house. If you question the results your a racist, traitor, misogynistic, white supremacist, fascist, dog kicker and if you keep it up I’m sure one of the 86,000 new IRS agents will have a peak in your file.

We all saw this in Obama 1.0 – nothing more than the usual grift of Democrats and establishment Republicans. We also know how this will end – for a peak see Solyndra.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
