Editorial: An early summer weekend of gun deaths in Chicago shows how far we have to go – Chicago Tribune*

"It is said that no one celebrates summer more joyfully than Chicagoans. How distressingly ironic then that over the past several years virtually every summer weekend in Chicago has become effectively a set of tragedies in waiting."

“gun deaths”

Are the guns dying? Oh no, I see, those nasty guns are floating around by themselves, shooting people!

The first step in solving a problem is to define it accurately. That shows “how far we have to go .”

Perhaps a neighbor patrol force such as that created in north Hartford CN by blacks sick of rampant crime going unaddressed by their liberal mayor is in order. Of course said mayor, seeing his power slipping away and being forced to confront his ineffective leadership and ideas, is opposed to the notion, calling them “ vigilantes “. Substitute “ white supremacists “ and “ MAGA hat wearers “ for vigilantes and it sounds familiar.

“how far we have to go”. First you need to change directions…then determine how far to go. The direction is wrong, so proceeding further this way, is just gong to be worse. A weekend without 20 people shot is unusual. Happens so frequently now that no body even notices or pays attention. The Lawlessness has to end. Support your Police and let them do their job. Vote the Pin Head and his liberal nut-jobs out of office.

Let’s start being brutally honest about this,
Chicago and downtown is a shooting gallery.
No sugar coating this crap, the black people
Allow this to continue week after week they
Know who the shooters are, if the people
Don’t want to stop it ok let it be.
At some point it will stop when #1 the people
Finally put a stop to it turning in the shooters and #2 they run out of people to shoot.

If your summer weekends don’t consist of beers, brats and shooting your neighbors, then YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG…

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
