Using the US Census ACS Survey instead of the Decennial Survey to create state representative and senate districts, so the Democrat majority in the state house and state senate can draw maps without input from Republicans, thereby avoiding the deadline which triggers a bipartisan commission to draw maps, given that while campaigning for the Governor’s office JB Pritzker said he supports an independent bipartisan map drawing commission, is a scam on multiple levels. The JB Pritzker map scam. One level is the state legislature and Governor ignored the data from the once every 10 year population count (aka Decennial Survey).… Read more »

It’s interesting that the WSJ referred to JB’s “whopper”. Everyone knows that JB loves a few whoppers, along with fries, onion rings and a couple of chocolate shakes.

Has there ever been a governor in Illinois history that was more of a rubber stamp for the machine than jb? I still think he see’s himself in dc. Illinois & us chumbalones are just cannon fodder

Every Democrat in the legislature is a rubber stamp for each other’s bills. That’s how all of our insane bills get passed because not one representative dares push back against the machine for the good of their constituents. With Madigan gone they don’t even need to round up votes. They’ve all just agreed to pass each other’s bills instead.

Here’s the irony. In order to save face, he will dissemble and blame his “enemy” on the other side of the aisle… If he weren’t such POS, I would feel pity for JayBee…

Both he and Lightfoot never knew that how unsuitable and unremarkable they both are… JB has been surrounded by sycophants his whole life and LL is the result of Inclusion and diversity run amok. Neither has the chops for their gig.

Both are too obtuse to fiddle while we all watch Rome burn…

29% of Republicans think Trump will be reinstated later this year. When your base is that delusional it doesn’t bode well for the chances to choose a sane candidate that can win in the general election of a deep blue state. This doesn’t even take into account JB’s money advantage. As long as Republicans are loyal to Trump, JB is your governor through 2026. Get used to it.

debtsor

I don’t really believe that Trump will be reinstated later this year but I’d sure as heck tell that to a Democrat pollster. Just like when the pollster asked me if I thought Barack Hussein Obama was a Muslim, I said Heck yeah he is, even though everyone knows he not a muslim, at least not openly. You see, it’s a slam on Biden to tell a pollster that Trump will be reinstated this year. No one really believes this but I’d love to tell it to a pollster.

There is no constitutional crisis. The vote was certified and Joe Biden is President. Trump lost Bigly. The Arizona “audit” is a show for the rubes in the Republican Party. Just throwing red meat to the ignorant and growing faction of the party.

PPF, what do you think the election outcome would have been if the press and tech had not suppressed the Hunter Biden email story, and had honestly covered topics like alleged Russian collusion, a supposed Russian plot to plant the Biden emails, China’s involvement in COVID origin, hydroxychloroquine and any other things that I hope you would agree were not covered fairly? And keep in mind that Biden certainly did not win bigly. It was razor thin in the electoral swing states.

Trump lost—bigly or not—all over this country, was repeatedly legally certified as such and lost numerous legal challenges to that effect. Get over it and on with life’s realities!

That’s the amazing thing James. Not that people are upset or disappointed that Trump lost but that they can’t accept it. I thought the Democrats whining in 2000 was bad but this takes it to a whole new level.

Trump lost the electoral college by 43,000 votes over three or four states. It was a very slim margin. There’s overwhelming evidence in those states which is why the audits are commencing.

“overwhelming evidence”

So overwhelming that all court cases were tossed out and a SCOTUS with a 6-3 conservative majority refused to hear such rubbish.

The only case that was heard on the merits, in PA, was ruled in his favor, and it was quickly overturned, within 48 hours, on a partisan basis, by the PA Supreme Court.

Not all cases get heard. His arguments were so weak that they wouldn’t even take it up at the highest court where he selected 3 justices. His VP also wouldn’t do his bidding. Trump did everything in his power to stop the peaceful transition of power and was smacked down repeatedly. You are living in one sad delusional world.

Mark, 306 to 232. Pointing out the margin in each state is the same thing as democrats pointing to the overall popular vote in 2016. Completely meaningless and filled with sour grapes. Considering a Republican has not received that many Electoral votes since 1988 I consider that “bigly”. Trump lost Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. He lost 5 states from 2016 so that was Yuuuuge. Your concerned about the adjective I used instead of why we are even still discussing this at all. He lost. The fact that Republicans can’t move on will only hurt them in the future.… Read more »

My question was solely about the effect of the press, and I think it’s absurd not to recognize that fair coverage would have tipped not only the presidential election but countless down ballot elections, including control of the Congress. It would have taken only a handful of votes to flip those swing states. Take a look at this poll –https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/media-s-hiding-of-hunter-biden-scandal-robbed-trump-of-clear-win-poll/ar-BB1aZGcF Suppression of the Hunter Biden story alone would have been enough. That poll was done by a conservative pollster but it needn’t even be close to true to make the point. And now one story after another told by the… Read more »

So your complaint is that the press isn’t fair to Republican? Grow up Mark. You can’t be that naive. I don’t think Republicans have been treated fairly by the press in my lifetime nor do I expect that to change anytime soon. Reagan, Bush, and Trump all won with unfair press. Spare me the whining. Trump treated the press like garbage from day one and they returned the favor. You keep spitting in peoples face and sometimes they spit back. Many things tipped the election against Trump, including his own conduct, but that’s a very unserious answer you gave. The national press today is light years worse than it has traditionally been. And it’s extroardinarily dangerous for reasons that have nothing to do with Trump. Their lies and distortions bend policy in frightening ways. And the conduct of big tech, which was part of my original question, is just as frightening. Shame on the left for abandoning its historical commitment to freedom of expression.

Mark, I answered your original question in my earlier post. You chose to ignore it. “I don’t think the press reporting those stories would have made one bit of difference in the outcome. People are so entrenched with their political views that the media had hardly any influence the final months. Not to mention that Biden had gathered so many votes by mail before the media could have had any influence.” That’s the environment where we currently live. Republicans have an electoral advantage based on how most democrats live in deep blue states where their additional votes don’t help their… Read more »

PFF, Biden stole the election.

You never really win anything until your opponent admits he’s been defeated, and there’s 75,000,000 of us who refuse to recognize the usurper.

debtsor

PFF, Trump ‘lost’ those 5 states by very slim margins. For example, Trump lost WI by 20,000 votes. It’s been documented that the Democrat mayor of Green Bay quite literally GAVE THE KEYS TO THE ROOM STORING THE ABSENTEE BALLOTS to the head of Zuckerberg’s Green Bay ‘get out the vote’ operation. This actually happened. It’s a major scandal in WI. The WI senate today just voted to ban all outside money to ‘help’ run state elections because of this. Will we ever know if the New Yorker running the Brown County election pumped a few votes into the system?

debtsor

PFF, the small margin in each state is the fraud. Deep down you know it, I know it, most republicans know it, most democrat admit it but only in whispers (and then deny it to pollsters!) and Biden’s administration knows it too, which is why are doing everything they can to demonize anyone who argues otherwise.

You live in the fantasyland that Joe Biden got 81,000,000 legitimate votes during the pandemic tainted election.

Your side may have ‘won’, but you destroyed the integrity of elections in the process.

To sweep it under the rug and say ‘oh you’re all just crazy, all 75,000,000 of you’ is naive, as audits are now taking place, voter integrity laws are being passed in many states, outside money is being banned from ‘helping’ run elections; PA just had a hearing on auditing the election…

But we’re all crazy…If you won legitimately, then you got nothing to worry about.

“if you won legitimately, then you got nothing to worry about.” I’m not worried about the constant whining by Trumpers uncovering some massive conspiracy. I’m worried that those Trumpers make other Republicans unelectable to the point of one party rule. You see it as if I’m against Trump then I’m against the Republican Party. I’m against Trump because I believe many conservative ideas are valuable but as long as Trumpettes complain about the past election and worship at the alter of Trump they become unelectable to the majority of the country. Which means far left ideas will take over. You… Read more »

Joe Biden got 81,000,000 votes breaking Obama’s 2008 record!

No honest person believe Joe Biden got 81,000,000 votes, breaking Obama’s record. You can lie to yourself all you want but that doesn’t mean it’s true. No honest person believe Assad won 95% of all votes in Syria either.

Trump broke Obama’s 2008 record as well. Why are Trump votes legitimate but yet Biden’s aren’t? The fact that both candidates broke the record in terms of voting in a highly partisan time when voting by mail was allowed during a pandemic doesn’t mean the votes weren’t real. In fact it was expected. You don’t have any evidence just conjecture. He lost. He lost. He lost. Biden Won!!!

This is just a rehash of old arguments; you believe the election was fair and free, and the rest of us are just crazy that late night ballot drops from Democrat controlled areas flipped formerly red states blue by razor thin margins; and even races that seemed to go Red suddenly flipped as absentee ballots were counted up to two weeks after the election… America has called foreign elections fraudulent based on less. https://2001-2009.state.gov/p/eur/rls/rm/39542.htm “Illegal Use of Absentee Ballots: According to the respected NGO “Committee of Voters of Ukraine” (CVU), massive electoral fraud was committed through the illegal use of… Read more »

Boy are you misinformed. The Illinois Supreme Court upheld pensions because of the constitution and they did it unanimously, 7-0. So because I believe in following the constitution you think I’m a democrat? Says a lot about your mindset. I praise the decision because it followed the rule of law. We can see what group Pritzker thinks is important.
