"Under normal circumstances, this shoddy education performance would be a call to arms to save a generation of semi-literates from entering the adult world with the kind of skills basic to a successful life. In fact, it's just more of the same that produces considerable hand-wringing but little else when it comes to improved K-12 public school student performance."

The CPS just passes the kids through the system no matter if they learn or not. All that the CTU cares about is salaries, benefits, and pensions. Education is not even given a passing thought.

The kids in lower income areas had a chance to attend private schools under the Invest in Kids program. Teachers unions and Dems voted it out. And the same sick group thinks school vouchers are derived from the devil. There are answers to their pathetic educational results, but they refuse to acknowledge them.

Illinois is the definition of stupidity: doing the same thing year in and year out and expecting a different outcome.

The fact Putzger and Gates use private education says it all . You always want the best for your children. We need a voucher system so all parents can choose
