It seems to me that the city council already represents diversity. Some council members are beginning or career criminals and a few are not. That has that diversity block sufficiently checked.

Black mayor, black states attorney, black chief judge, black county board chairman, black lieutenant governor, black state attorney general, multiple black aldermen ain’t enough I guess. Ward maps shouldn’t be gerrymandered but state districts can to entirely smother any Republican running for office, makes sense to me.

The mayor should demand a council quota that reflects the city. Specify how many dirtbags and murderers throw in some drug dealers and mopes. Aldercreatures are wildly popular. James Cappleman slithered out of his office and was immediately attacked causing him to late for a fundraiser at the Admiral.

I agree. The most important qualification for a council member is the color of their skin. Literally nothing else matters. Because BIPOC are huge monolithic voting blocks that all think entirely the same, like a hive mind, or the BORG from Star Trek, the only thing that matters to represent that group is a shared skin color. A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
