So, one wants to increase efficiency ( and her staff ), one wants to get even more IL taxpayers dollars, one has experience, but is coy as to her agenda, and one already serves in office and, more than likely, is on a course to continue taxing people out the wazoo. That’s some DEI line up right there. Yes sir.

“Villa is focused on raising new revenue and called for lawmakers to pass a digital advertising tax and revisit a graduated income tax.”
Only in Illinois could a politician feel emboldened to run on a platform to increase taxes for everyone, and have a legitimate shot at winning.
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.
