Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Zorn is such a dolt. The “grubby shake-and-howdy of big-city politics” isn’t the danger of an elected Chicago school board. The Chicago Teachers Union is the danger. Having CTU members stacked on a Chicago School Board would be a disaster. Every week they would vote themselves massive raises, absurd benefits, less and less classroom time (if CTU cant keep the Wuhan Virus scam continuing) and hateful leftist brainwashing ‘education’ programs. CTU is consistent in their massive greed, avoidance of work and hate of CTU students and parents.
100% correct.
When the elected school board proponents have lost the support of the insane leftist Zorn, you know you got a problem.
