Evanston can’t end discrimination lawsuit over black ‘reparations’ – Legal Newsline

In the ruling, Kness specifically rejected the city's attempts to claim the white plaintiffs can't sue because they never actually attempted to apply for payment through the program, which the city had made clear was limited only to people who are black.

Next steps: repeal single-family zoning in Evanston and encourage multi-family arrangements. Attract more residents who deserve reparations to compensate for the sins of those who did what the laws permitted through the 1850’s. Attempts to override those laws generally failed so lots of American and Confederate lives were spent getting rid of slavery. Prejudice persisted and continued [via the KKK and James Crow] even after LBJ enacted JFK’s civil rights laws. We are still a far-from-perfect union. Someone needs to write a book on African slavery called the “1519 Project.” The results a book like that would not look good to anybody.

Oh yeah. The great reparations wars have begun. Every nationality that came here was persecuted at some point. Now Evanston will have explain why one group should get it and no one else. That mayoral picture was taken before the ruling i bet
