In the 2023-2024 school year, the high school is offering “AP [Advanced Placement] Calculus AB” which is equivalent to “one semester of college calculus,” though the class code is “restricted to students who identify as Black, all genders,” the course catalog showed. An identical course allegedly limits its enrollment to students who “identify as Latinx, all genders.” However, the high school is offering an identical calculus course with a code that does not restrict enrollment on the basis of race, the 2023-2024 course catalog showed.

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. The state’s existing buyout program for its own pensions is the precedent for Chicago, which should be a warning: Look out for similar exaggerated claims and shoddy analysis.

Men in women’s clothing are not women; they’re men dressed in women’s clothing or, woman-wannabes.

Public K-12 schools encouraging race-based segregation of classes.
Not only that – they’re bragging about it.
And defending themselves by accusing people who disagree of being racist, and ‘anti-diversity.’
Just amazing.
I wish my parents, and my late father’s parents – teachers and public school administrators all of them going back to the end of the frontier – were alive to tell me what they think of this.
Or maybe not….
This was by design to give the race based students all A grades for their course work. It wouldn’t matter if the kids couldn’t add two plus two. Equity is what counts in Evanston, not learning or knowledge.
How can students deficient in basic math and reading skills successfully complete a AP course in any topic?
Or is this more forced equity?
Or am I missing something?
