Evanston Mayor Dan Biss announces run for Schakowsky’s seat – The Hill

“I am running for Congress to stand up to Donald Trump and his MAGA cronies. I’ve never backed down from a fight, and I’ve won some big ones—on LGBTQ+ rights, campaign finance reform, protecting abortion access, defending the environment, and more,” Biss said in his announcement.

These small-time career politicians – on both the right and left but especially the left – are the most insufferable human beings on earth. They’re also the most self-aggrandizing people imaginable, believing they’re a modern day Braveheart locked in some epic life-and-death battle to decide the fate of humanity. I’ll never understand the wiring of these people and what addicts them to public sector life like this. I mean, I understand that they’re losers who can’t succeed in the private sector, but still…
