Here’s slippery Annette Guzman on today’s Fran Spielman show/ interview managing, as one would expect, to be totally evasive, not committing to anything, and blaming biggest problem on previous administrations not paying full pension bill. The one reveal is, she claims, the “corporate account” has been keep separate from all the “COVID accounts”. So then wouldn’t it be easy for press or public to see where all the extra spending is since COVID occurred? especially with regard to raises & new hires. The city unions aren’t going give back a dime. Expect a few token furloughs/ layoffs, especially from the thousands of non-union city staff hired with COVID $bucks, and massive prop tax hike for us chumbolones….

Is it shocking that the guy who didn’t pay his low balance credit cards, and was sued for it, managed to run up a massive deficit his first year in office? Is anyone really surprised?

Today, tax everyone in Illinois until they all have nothing left. That is where this is all headed anyway. Maybe then they will finally vote differently, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
