Ex-Palatine H.S. teacher fired for anti-riot, anti-BLM Facebook posts files First Amendment suit vs District 211, school board members – Cook County Record
The complaint noted all of Jeanne Hedgepeth’s comments were on her personal Facebook page, and she did not identify herself as a teacher or employee of Palatine High School District 211. Further, none of the people she engaged with in those posts were District 211 students or employees.
What does Tim McGowan (the union-backed D211 board member) do for a living? Says here he’s a small business owner but I can’t find any mention of what that small business is.
Apparently he is a BLM protest organizer. Don’t know if that’s considered a small business or a hustle. Just google “Tim McGowan BLM” and you’ll find a few articles about it.
People who have “an axe to grind” sometimes are winners in such political contests depending upon the extent of their viewpoints locally among the voters, but generally speaking centrist voters over-power them at the polls.

Why isn’t the teachers union defending her????? Any comment from the union?
A largely unasked question is becoming glaring: Is Illinois doing all it should to use artificial intelligence to make government cost less and work better? So far, the evidence says no.

One profile listed his employer as “Mortgage Company/ Loss Mitigation”. Usually professionals have a Linkedin profile, but I can’t find one.
More school district drama like district 47. Most school district boards are teeming with local blowhards and pc windbags; I repeat myself!

That was my first thought as well. I wonder if she’s a union member. If so, their silence on this is pretty bad.
More, please. This is how we must push back. Thank you for your bravery, Jeanne.
Is the ACLU going to defend her?
I hope she wins!
