Expect Chicago’s migrant crisis to intensify as Democratic National Convention draws near, top mayoral aide says – Chicago Sun-Times

A busload of migrants leaves from Chicago’s Union Station, headed to a refugee center in August 2022.Over the last week alone, the number of new arrivals sleeping on the floors of Chicago police stations has increased 6% — to 1,100 — even though Johnson has made it a priority to “decompress” police stations. Another 170 new arrivals have taken up residence at O’Hare International Airport. There is $150 million in migrant funding that “the feds have not appropriated,” and City Hall is “trying to make the case that we should be getting a large chunk of that because we have not closed our doors, and we are forecasting for next year with the DNC,” Christina Pacione-Zayas said.

Historians will write about this time, biden’s presidency will prove to be the most debilitating, illogical time in this country’s history. Everything that is taking place in this country at this time…I do not agree with. Everything. Every decision and direction this president and his handlers have taken is opposite logic.

They are central planner globalists, they have big plans and the constitution of the USA stands in their way. Once you understand the bigger war all the smaller battles make more sense.

Republican governors are not sending homeless Americans to Chicago and NY, they are sending illegal aliens who OpenBorderBiden gleefully allowed into our country.

Trib article today complains about a girl’s bad teeth, chastising us for failure to provide her immediate free dental work, condemns CPS for declining her as unenrolled “walk-in” first day of school. She arrived ten days ago.

Like many “recently arrived migrants”, this young girl may become a lifetime responsibility of Chicago government agencies. Most migrants are not middle-class transplants from foreign countries. The arriving adult-migrants are often poorest citizens of their countries, with little education, many “3rd-world” health problems, some with criminal/gang backgrounds, as Chicago has quickly realized.

So will the country get to see what is happening or will the media conveniently hide the realities and instead print isolated niceties about how great things are? Never underestimate the power of the media to pull the wool over the eyes of the populace.

I hope that’s the case so the whole can see the end result of Democratic Party governance.

DNC picked the right city to showcase the results of Democrat policy

— illegal aliens everywhere

— uncontrolled crime

— high taxes

— job killing business climate

— failed schools

As usual the Office of Mayor Doofus is wrong again. Illegal immigrants taking over large cities have nothing to do with Republican governors. It’s the Democrats that refuse to close the border. The illegal immigrant problem is 100% the doings of Biden and friends. By all means, shine a light on it during the DNC next summer.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
