Expert explains reasons why Illinois’ population continues to decline – Center Square

Sheila Wienberg of Truth In Accounting said, "People seem to be leaving to states with an improved business climate, lower taxes, and we would also say that because states with the worst government finances seem to be losing population the most," Weinberg said. Illinois, which has among the highest tax burdens in the nation, could be pricing people out.

Can’t imagine why businesses are dumping/avoiding Illinois — could it be: — the most business hostile laws/regulations in America — the most burdensome tax structures/tax rates in the US — a failing educational system at all levels — the worst fiscal basket case among all 50 states — out of control crime/soft on crime Democrats that have made law and order impossible — crooked and corrupt unions that have a stranglehold on government — the worst corruption of any state/one party misrule — a Democrat state energy suicide pact that will give Illinois 3rd world power blackouts and last but… Read more »

New York Times and other fake news fraud hoaxsters are telling us that 11th month abortions will have Fortune 500 companies lining up to invest in failed states like Illinois — where the biggest export is dead babies. Methinks they are full of s***.

The NYT is not a credible source. I’d believe the Gateway Pundit before I believe the NYT. NYT had a poll come out today showing that Democrats are leading in the generic congressional ballot which is the complete opposite of what every other poll and every other person who studies this stuff says. This is 100% fake news COPE they’re selling to their readers who pay for a subscription. how anyone takes them seriously is beyond me.

And there’s more (Ron Popeil-style) .. with your abortion you can buy your pot legally AND gamble to your heart’s content before or after your abortion.

All we need is legal prostitution and we’ll be bringing ’em in by the bus/train/plane load.

I think Lincoln would like to have his name taken off this state – let’s call it ‘Land of Pritzker.’

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
