It is pillaging many Illinoisans’ greatest asset: the value of their homes.” 50 years of rampant credit inflation pushed asset prices into orbit, and houses are no exception. It is an incalculable error to see houses as “investments.” Ever wonder why real estate sales commissions are so high? Because houses are unique, like selling heirloom jewelry only worse. So how many incompetent and corrupt public officials have over the years been endorsed by this B.S. publication? I guess they need to fill the space some how with rhetoric such as this. To the average ignoramus, it gives the appearance of credibility.

The “other” explanation is that the public long ago learned it could vote for the parasite-politician who promised them the most loot, and collectively, people are too stupid to see that robbing their fellow citizens turns into a vertical dive when everyone does it.

Voting (democracy) works only as long as you can confront the other guy across the table who is trying to force you to pay for his anchovie pizza. Scale it up beyond literally a few hundred people and it will always eventually collapse itself. Illinois is just further along the road to ruin than some.
