Fed up with Kim Foxx’s office, alderman wants city to take some matters into its own hands – Chicago Sun-Times*

"The wildings downtown right now where you have a mob of about 30 kids standing around beating people up on the corners, taking phones and purses in broad daylight,” Ald. Anthony Napolitano said. “Every week, there’s another police vehicle or fire vehicle or city vehicle being destroyed by wildings. … We’ve got four-wheelers and motorcycles on sidewalks on Michigan Avenue riding around. If you drive down the Kennedy Expressway, the entire city is covered in graffiti. I’ve never seen anything this bad before. … We’re a lawless city right now.”

“My office has worked hard to establish trust and legitimacy with our Black and Brown communities”
Criminals can trust that Kim Foxx has their backs and that there will be no ramifications for their crimes. Kim Foxx is an existential threat to all Chicagoans.

Feel somewhat sorry for home and condo owners in Chicago, as who will want to always be on guard outside their home? Never able to relax. Property values going Detroit. Then I remember Chicagoans have been voting for this for decades, and see this direction as progress. Yes, Democrats in action. Don’t know why the Democratic aldermen are complaining, as I never have seen them support a Republican, ever.

Kim’s living in a civics textbook on an ivy-covered campus running through imaginary-world test scenarios where criminals can be trusted to not engage/re-engage in criminal behavior and smaller penalties deter criminal behavior. We’re her laboratory.

Kimmy knows they are committing crimes; and that’s the point. She’s is purposely lying because she is feeling blow back. Her policies are exactly what she wants them to be. Anarcho-tyranny is the point: street crime is allowed to proliferate while resistors and dissidents are punished. Ask the angry guy who said some un-pc things to BIPOC in the forest preserve and got 18 months in prison: https://cwbchicago.com/2021/07/man-gets-18-months-for-2-hate-crimes-in-forest-preserve.html Meanwhile, real, violent criminals regularly have charges dropped for guns, drugs and violence. But you will go to PRISON for a hate crime for saying the N or F word. This is… Read more »

All Kim sees is her own career and splendid benefit package, while hoping it is the White House on the line. Like Lori, her only idea is to blame everything on White people and their supposed inherent, systemic racism. Kim is another narcissist, full of herself. We are paying a heavy price for allowing dishonest elections, without a shred of integrity, to continue the charade of democracy. Chicago is South Africa now. Enough of manipulating racial tensions, enough of Democrats destroying all of America for their own personal , short term gain.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
