Federal court delivers another victory to Obama Foundation in park group fight – Chicago Tribune/MSN

Seventh U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Diane Wood ruled against the parks advocacy group, which argued in October that the city’s agreement to lease a slice of Jackson Park to former President Barack Obama’s foundation to build a museum and complex violated the public trust.

More political favor than in court order in accordance with constitutional law and statutes. Regardless of political affiliation, Obama Foundation has no legitimate legal right to utilize public property of Chicago Park District for its own purposes, whether presidential library or political action center.

Obama Foundation could easily have outright purchased this land from Park District at fair-market value, rather than accepting it as a supposed gift from City of Chicago.

Looks more like a mausoleum than a library.

An exorbitant monstrosity worthy of its namesake.

This monument to Obama’s narcissism and hubris is a giant middle finger to the citizens of Chicago.
Now that the Obamas are fabulously wealthy and have an ocean view from their East, West, and Hawaii coastal mansions, all they think about Chicago is that they’re glad they no longer live there. Hyde Park is a slum compared to where they now hobnob. But I’m really happy for Michelle that she always has a mansion to go to that Barry’s not at.

Whatever happened to “Forever open, clear and free”? Has the meaning of forever changed? Or is it because it involves Barack Hussein Obama that forever has another meaning? There are vast acres of available and undeveloped land next to Jackson Park where this monument to a terrible president could be built in lieu of in the park. Are matching acres of Chicago parkland being built to replace this which is being stolen? Nope. Not in corrupt Chicago. Instead Barack Hussein Obama steals park land from current and future generations of Chicagoans.

Let them finish the monolithic structure.
Six months of activity then nothing.
The visitors drop off and then the foundation starts crying for more funding.
Drive down in a Garda truck you might be safe.

Look at the King Center in Atlanta for a future vision of what the Obama Center will become.
