Police seized 1200 Glock pistols with automatic fire switches. How many were prosecuted to the “fullest extent” of the law by the Cook County States Attorney’s Office? How many cases were dropped, reduced to misdemeanors? How many cases did the SAO fumble?
And if I may add the Switch (s) are being manufactured in guess were China, attention all politicians ban the damn things not the gun.
I don’t understand. If it is the clip that makes the gun multi fire then why not outlaw the clip not the gun it is used on? Seems rather simple too me and certainly the good citizens of Chicago Illinois would line right up to turn them in if they were illegal…uh, wouldnt they?
This latest nuisance suit is akin to suing Chevrolet for leaving their engine block adaptable with superchargers that cause excessive speed. Speed kills, right? Glock doesn’t make, sell or install the hardware being used to modify their product. This suit should be dismissed and the attorneys who filed it should be sanctioned for utter incompetence.
Lost me at “clip”
…it transforms a Glock semiautomatic into a small machine gun, allowing a shooter to empty an entire clip in seconds.
And I have yet to see the few underserved arrested for having a clip get any additional jail time for being in possession of one.
Magazines, magazines are what load a pistol like a Glock. The aftermarket “switch” is used to defeat the semiautomatic sear that is originally installed by the manufacturer.
