I am seeing reports that NEA members have voted in support of a resolution that teaching critical race theory is appropriate in schools, and they will actively promote this program. Union members have commented on Wirepoints stories about pensions, many of them saying that the purpose of the union is to advance the interests of their members. Presumably this extends to typical workplace issues such as salaries, benefits, etc. In no way should it mean that unions control our schools, and yet union members obviously believe that they should have this control.
