Feds demand Chicago Teachers Union release audits – Illinois Policy

The federal filing revealed CTU has paid accountants to conduct the missing audits, but has not released them. “When unions flout these obligations, they betray the trust of the very people they are meant to serve … Every dollar paid by workers should serve their interests, not those of a select few operating in the shadows,” the Congressional committee’s letter stated.

That’s because CTU is not a union. They are a fare left, progressive activist group, and CTU is trying to cover that up.

Maybe we need an amendment to federal law governing the operation of unions. NO public disclosure from the CTU for five years is just laughable. We all know what’s going on. Public corporations file annual audits. Not for profits file annual audits. Government bodies–even in Democrat run states– file audits (sometimes). Why the loose monitoring of unions?
