Fewer people in Cook County are being charged with crimes. Why are Black people making up a larger share of defendants? – Injustice Watch

“What’s potentially going on is a shift in the types of cases that are getting made or arrests that are being made,” said David Olson, a criminology professor at Loyola University Chicago.

Black lives matter?

97% of suspects in 2020 Durham arrested for shootings were black. The city is 38 percent black… the data shows otherwise. Black lives only matter when white people are force to sacrifice their civilization to the very responsible with returning it to the negro mean.

Remember, charging or arresting blacks for committing crimes is always racist

Durham, North Carolina is no different. It’s a 49 percent white, 38 percent black city. And we learn how in 2020 just how much black lives truly matter, with 89 percent of those shot being black. Interesting, 97 percent of those suspects who have been caught for those shootings during the racial reckoning of 2020 were black.
Another city, another example of why

Hmmm…

This is quite a quandary.

Fewer blacks are being charged with crimes and yet this has resulted in more blacks being arrested…

I propose that no arrests be made in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood for the next year.

A larger number of Blacks are committing those crimes! The answer is right in front of you if you really are looking for the answers.

Okay, when is this bullcrap about POC getting arrested too much going to stop. Does anyone who writes, published or reads about criminal activity in Chicago see the daily, non stop parade of black carjackers, shooters, looters, thieves, etc? Maybe that’s the reason. Should we encourage whites to go out and be criminals to even out crime? Maybe ask for white volunteers to go to prison for s stretch so the numbers get better. All of this is nothing but a joke that’s getting swallowed, hook, line and sinker by politicians around the country. Let me say there is nothing… Read more »

Reading this piece after the preceding piece about 82% of CPS 3rd graders being below grade level makes me wonder what kind of employment those 82 percenters will be fit for when they reach age 18. Fifty years ago a man could still make a good living with a strong back and a weak mind at the steel mills or the stock yards or a construction job site. Not so much anymore. Also of note was WBEZ’s taking half their article to exculpate the schools and school personnel from blame for this catastrophe of their making. If they won’t accept… Read more »

“makes me wonder what kind of employment those 82 percenters will be fit for when they reach age 18.” Many won’t be employed, they’ll be living off government welfare in the Democrat’s BBB cradle to grave dependency bill. These children are born into medicaid, move into Section 8 hoursing, get WIC and free formula, get free pre-school, free daycare, and free lunch at school, free community college, or job training, then they have children of their own in their early 20’s and start the process all over again. There will be a more socially active contingent though demanding straight up… Read more »

Have you ever heard The saying “We repeat what we do not repair? Also This statement is true in certain cases but It doesn’t mean that those children have been abused or neglected, some people have disabilities that leave them unable to work. So why does injury after a near fatal accident or any accident mean that those children should be separated stolen from the only People on this planet that Love and provide for them in every way possible so they can be able to do the right things be good people who have every right and Benefits to… Read more »

What a crock! This thread is addressing criminality, not the disabled or children (except for their abysmal educational opportunities in Chicago).
Try another soapbox.

If the schools won’t accept responsibility for this That would mean to me that it falls on the parent/parents.

Parents should also consider their contribution to their offspring’s criminal pursuits.

Politics! They are perfect candidates to be politicians. Not what you know but who you know and the right party affiliation. The kids only need to learn two words. Raise Taxes. Think of it. How many current politicians are CPA’s, brokers, banking execs, corporate leaders yet they are in charge of $40B+ yearly budget. What are the qualifications to run for office other than them saying I want to do some good. There are no degrees in finance required or even knowing how to balance their checkbooks. It is always a revenue problem never a spending one to them.

These people are ideologues. They will not stop with their dangerous rhetoric until they are just ignored. Their rhetoric is dangerous and costs people lives….

It seems to me that the obvious needs to be shouted from the roof tops because of how many people want to ignore what is right in front of them.

It can only be attributed to Systemic Racism. Believing what you see and hear is contrary to the narrative. Only believe what you’re told by Lori. Crime is down too! Chicago Values! Lori has so many dumpster fires going she runs out of town for any reason!

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. Audio here.
