Fixing Illinois pension crisis by amending nation’s most-restrictive pension law is legal, effective – Illinois Policy

Pension reform is essential to fixing Illinois’ budget problems and providing basic services to its residents. Illinois’ restrictions on pension modification prevent that needed reform and make Illinois an outlier among the rest of the country when it comes to reasonable pension modification.

Its essential to reform IL public pensions. A “must-have” to turn the state around. Time for the public unions, with their massively disproportionate influence on IL politicians, to feel some of the pain that has been heaped on IL non-public union taxpayers.

We will force a reckoning on this topic…and IL’s famously outrageous perennial political corruption.
