Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension. I suspected this from the beginning, that the Federal Government was back-door funneling digitized money to the Blue cities to complete their plan. Absolutely sickening.
This setup is egregious. These congressmen obviously knew that the illegal aliens are being located here, and were asking the feds for short term funds. And the citizens that vote for these supposed representatives have not through the cost implications. Welfare, healthcare, bilingual education and free breakfast and lunch in the local schools, etc. When their (already highest in the nation) property tax bills skyrocket to cover the cost at the schools, they need to point the finger at themselves.
