Brandon Johnson hugs Mayor Lori Lightfoot before he is sworn in as mayor of Chicago during the city of Chicago's inauguration ceremony at Credit Union 1 Arena, Monday, May 15, 2023.Mayoral advisor Jason Lee called Lori Lightfoot, Johnson’s former mayoral opponent and ire of the Chicago Teachers Union, a “brilliant legal mind.” Johnson also plans to meet with Arne Duncan, a civic leader in Chicago, former CEO of Chicago Public Schools and former U.S. Secretary of Education, who has also been a pointed target of the CTU in the past.

Fake news. Doubt anyone can help Johnson prepare for his televised public embarrassment in DC.

Rahm was on the talk-shows this past week, thrusting the verbal shiv into NYC, LA, and Chicago black mayors. You’d think he was running for office, whether mayor of Chicago again, or Governor of Illinois.

Lori still mad about election, won’t do anything to help a Preckwinkle Trotskyite.

Get the popcorn ready, the Johnson testimony will be great entertainment.

This is hilarious! The damage has already been done! The jokes write themselves! We’ve got a Jew, world famous for his “never let a crisis go to waste” commentary, coaching an anti-Semite leader on decorum and public relations! I’m guessing this is probably under the flawed directive of Pritzker, another Jew, that sucks at leadership and public relations. LOL and good luck with that. Last week, Johnson was doubling down on his views and culling folks that weren’t with him. Maybe DOGE and Congress can unravel the toxic Brighton Park scam and who got what on the backend. Lightfoot’s last… Read more »

Am guessing that Johnson’s testimony will be used by Trump as an opportunity to excoriate the ridiculous “leadership” in Chicago and Pritzker’s political ambition fueled preening and fiscal virtue signaling on the taxpayer dime.

Go ahead and coach your boy. It still won’t keep him from making a fool of himself when he starts trotting out words that he doesn’t understand, blaming racism and calling the inquiry into his incompetence “ raggedy “.

He’d be far better off getting “coaching” from President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, lol…

That’s really going to help Brandon– getting advice from one of the world’s biggest jerks, Rahm, and from a Mayor that was so bad she even got thrown out of office in a Democrat City.

Rahm and Lori are two hot-heads that are as bad as Brando when it comes to lashing out at any perceived slight. These are the last people you would go to for guidance when you anticipate tough questioning. I don’t really think it would matter who was coaching Brando though, as his lifetime of arrogance and indignation are so ingrained he is a powder keg just waiting to be set off. Get your popcorn, this should be good.

You just know that he is going to accuse a Congress person of racism. This is guaranteed.

Mark Glennon on AM560’s Morning Answer: Chicago pension buyout plan mostly shifts debt rather than eliminating it, property tax surge doubles inflation over three decades

Chicago’s political leadership is floating a pension buyout program as evidence it is seriously addressing the city’s thirty-six-billion-dollar unfunded pension liability, but Mark Glennon, founder of the Illinois policy research organization Wirepoints, said that the proposal moves debt from one column to another rather than reducing it, and that the broader fiscal picture facing the city continues to deteriorate across every measurable dimension.
