Former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan asks Trump to pardon him after bribery conviction – Chicago Sun-Times

Madigan was convicted in February and sentenced to seven and a half years in prison in June. He has been in a West Virginia minimum-security federal prison camp since October. He has appealed his conviction, but the appellate court denied his request to walk free while the appeal progresses.

Madigan asked to be pardoned after he finishes his 7.5 year sentence. I don’t see why he should be pardoned.

Could happen, Trump has already pardoned drug dealers and con men. Madigan will have to make a huge contribution of some kind.

Rot in jail you crook. You caused and cemented into law more corrupted policy and treasure than anyone in history.

I wouldn’t put it past Trump to pardon him, hoping to get something in return like with his other Democrat pardons.

And I wouldn’t put it past Madigan to have a portion of the estimated 40M he pocketed devoted to a team of lawyers working feverishly to find a liberal judge for the appeal burning the midnight oil and stuffing envelopes. If he wants out, that little canary should start singing a tune with substance. Then we’ll see who starts playing duck and run.

Some politician ruins the state of IL. and now he’s begging on hands and knees for a pardon. Boy that is rich. He might consider praying to God for forgiveness.

If I was Prez Trump I would tell Mikey I’ll give you a pardon if you give me some good dirt on His Largeness or Mayor BJ.

If there is one thing Mikey understands its quid pro quo!!

Seems to be another JB political campaign tactic to tie Madigan to DJT and not himself. Wonder how much he promised to Madigan for that statement.
